Wedding of Ben Anandappa and Anna Anandappa
Firstly, the post author Ben Anandappa would like to point out that the Ben Anandappa above is not him 😂 We are related though… he is my great-grandmother’s brother!

Ben and Anna married on June 14th, 1944. Let’s look into who were in their wedding party.
Who's Who? (Left to Right)
- 👩🏾 Poomanie Rodrigo Muniarem Perumal. She is Ben’s niece - the daughter of Ben’s sister Rose Angelina Anandappa and her husband Emmanuel Stephen Rodrigo Muniarem Perumal. Poomanie married Casper Lazarus Joseph Casie Chetty;
- 👦🏾 Neil Anandappa. He is Anna’s first cousin as his father Joe Anandappa is Anna’s mother’s brother. Neil’s mother was Joyce Perumal, and Neil married Eileen Casie Chetty;
- Fun fact: Eileen’s brother Neville married Yvonne Adaman who was featured in last week’s post
- 👰🏾 Anna Anandappa. She is the daughter of Mary Louise Anandappa and Philip Raphael Anandappa, and Anna’s full name was Mary Anna Philomena. She possibly got her name from her maternal grandmother Anna Tavarayan;
- Fun fact: Anna is Benson’s sister - Benson’s wedding was featured in the first Photo of the Week
- 🤵🏾 Ben Anandappa. He is the son of Emmanuel Anandappa and Mary Nathalia Canjemenaden, and his full name was Lawrence Benedict Roche;
- 👨🏾 Prosper Rodrigo Muniarem Perumal. He is Ben’s first cousin as his mother Maria Johanna Anandappa is Ben’s father’s sister. Prosper’s father was J.C. Rodrigo Muniarem Perumal, and Prosper married Helen Juliana Fernandopulle;
- 👧🏾 Marie Anandappa She is Neil’s brother and she married Joseph Candappa;
- 👧🏾 Doreen Rodrigo Muniarem Perumal She is Anna’s first cousin as her mother Josephine is Anna’s mother’s sister. Doreen’s father was Anthony Dominic Rodrigo Muniarem Perumal, and Doreen married Philip Cajetan Anthony Anandappa.
- Fun fact: Doreen is also Prosper Perumal’s niece as Prosper and Anthony Dominic were brothers.
